Counselling psychologist

I am a biracial Counselling Psychologist who holds a deep commitment to acceptance, diversity, and culturally sensitive care. I completed my Master of Arts in Community-Based Counselling Psychology, along with my undergraduate and Honours degrees, at the University of the Witwatersrand.

My training included providing therapy to university students at Wits, as well as an enriching experience working with communities in Mookgopong, Limpopo, through the Transnet Phelophepa Train project. For my Master’s thesis, I explored resilience in students who experienced childhood poverty, which deepened my understanding of how early life challenges impact mental health and growth. I completed my internship at PsyCaD at the University of Johannesburg, gaining holistic clinical experience across a broad range of psychological difficulties and crisis intervention.

I believe that therapy must be tailored to each client’s unique needs. Every story, feeling, and emotion is meaningful and deserves to be honoured in the therapeutic space. My approach is integrative, drawing from a variety of evidence-based frameworks, including:
– Psychodynamic Therapy
– Narrative Therapy
– Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
– Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
– Mindfulness
– Solution-Focused Therapy
– Impact (Creative) Therapy

Together, we work collaboratively to create a safe, respectful, and flexible space that supports your growth and healing.

“Your cracks can become the most beautiful part of you.”
