Clinical Psychologist
I am a dedicated and empathetic Clinical Psychologist currently completing my community service at Tara H. Moross Hospital, where I work primarily with individuals presenting with personality disorders. I hold a BA General degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, an Honors degree in Psychology from UNISA, and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) from the University of the Western Cape.
My professional experience includes two years of volunteer psychological intervention in hospital and palliative care settings, as well as completed internships at 3 Military Hospital and Free State Psychiatric Hospital. I have worked across hospital, NGO, and government health contexts, providing psychotherapy, conducting psychological assessments, and contributing to outreach and psychoeducational programs.
My clinical approach is evidence-based and patient-centered, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, psychodynamic, and supportive therapeutic modalities. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and reflective process that fosters healing, insight, and personal growth. My personal interests include musical arts, reading, and poetry.
I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become - Carl Jung
