Counselling Psychologist

Psychology has been my first love for as long as I can remember. I have always been fascinated by people, their stories, their experiences, the things that shape them, and the ways in which they find strength and meaning, even during difficult times.

I have been a counselling psychologist for over 20 years, and my journey has taken me across both private practice and the corporate world. Working in private practice has allowed me to sit alongside people through deeply personal experiences, including anxiety, depression, trauma and periods of significant change and adjustment. My work in the corporate environment has given me a broader understanding of the impact of work, leadership, relationships, pressure and organisational life on our psychological well-being. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy. I don't believe that therapy should be a "one-size-fits-all" experience. Every person brings their own story, and I believe our work together should reflect that.

At the heart of my approach is the belief that we need both acceptance and challenge to grow and heal. I want my clients to feel genuinely heard and accepted while also feeling gently encouraged to look at things differently, explore new possibilities, and take meaningful steps forward.

For me, therapy is about creating a space where you don't have to have everything figured out. You can simply arrive as you are. Together, we can make sense of what you're going through, reconnect with your strengths, and find a way forward that feels authentic to you.

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers
