Counselling psychologist

Before completing my Master’s degree, I worked as a Registered Counsellor, where I discovered my deep passion for career counselling and walking alongside others in their healing journeys. I believe our life stories shape who we are — and we have the power to choose how we respond to those stories, how we make meaning from our experiences, and how we transform past wounds into growth.

I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative partnership. My role is to support and empower you as you reconnect with your strengths, explore your identity, and move toward greater clarity and self-understanding. I believe that each person already possesses the tools they need — therapy simply offers the space to rediscover and refine them.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities including:
– Transactional Analysis (TA): exploring how past relational patterns shape present dynamics
– Narrative Therapy & Solution-Focused Therapy: helping clients re-author their stories in more empowering ways
– Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): offering practical, skills-based tools for managing emotions and navigating challenges

I have experience facilitating both individual therapy and group interventions, including DBT skills groups. I find group therapy especially powerful — a space where shared insight, support, and collective learning can foster deep transformation.

My research and special interest lie in the topics of forgiveness and self-forgiveness, and how these processes support emotional and relational healing.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m an animal lover (especially cats!), and enjoy reading, writing, gardening, cooking, and repurposing old furniture — finding beauty and possibility in things that may first appear worn or forgotten.

I look forward to learning from you and supporting you on your journey of self-discovery and growth.
