Psychiatry Services – Fees & Medical Aid Information Psychiatric services are provided on a cash-only basis. We do not claim directly from medical aids for psychiatry consultations. Clients may, however, submit their invoices to their medical aid themselves for possible reimbursement, subject to their individual medical aid benefits and plan rules. Session Types & Fees Psychiatric Intake Session • Duration: 81 – 90 minutes • Fee: R3,600 The intake session is a comprehensive first consultation and typically includes a detailed psychiatric assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment planning. Psychiatric Follow-Up Session • Duration: 25 – 30 minutes • Fee: R1,600 Follow-up sessions are focused reviews aimed at monitoring progress, adjusting treatment plans, and managing medication where applicable. Important Notes • All psychiatry sessions are payable in full by the client • No medical aid claims are submitted on the client’s behalf • Clients are responsible for submitting invoices to their medical aid if they wish to claim reimbursement • Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends entirely on the client’s medical aid provider and plan If you are unsure whether your medical aid will reimburse psychiatry consultations, we recommend confirming your benefits directly with your medical aid prior to booking.
