About the Event

Becoming a parent, weather for the first time or for the third time, can be a very exciting but overwhelming experience. With so many things to prepare for mentally, as well as all the responisbility and unknowns that comes with it, you are allowed to feel a bit overwhelmed and unsure at times. It can also be difficult to manage should you experience mental health difficulties beforehand, such as anxiety or depression.

The Expecting Dad/Partner Support Group will be facilitated by Christel Roets, clinical psychologist and new parent.

Being an expecting parent, but not being the one who is carrying and growing that little human being, can be a really tough and overwhelming space to be in. It can leave you feeling quite overwhelmed and frustrated at times as a lot feels out of your control and uncertain.

The goal of this group is to equip you with some practical skills to support your partner in the birth journey as well as post-delivery when you are both having to figure out how to take care of this new baby.

We will be meeting on Zoom online. The group will be limited to 8 participants per session.
