Clinical Psychologist
I'm Cherazaad Edries, a clinical psychologist dedicated to walking with individuals on their life journey. I have a passion for advocacy and overall mental well-being.
I earned my Master of Arts degree at Unisa. I then completed an internship at a psychiatric hospital and community service at a large primary hospital.
My aim is to create a nurturing and collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to explore and achieve their personal goals. I believe my prior experience has instilled a passion to engage meaningfully within diverse communities and to cater to individuals based on their unique psychological needs. I believe in the importance of collaboration, openness and genuineness to foster security and growth.
I work from an integrative perspective which allows for comprehensive therapy tailored to your unique needs. I however, have an interest in systemic theory, I explore how patterns of interaction within your relationships and family dynamics influence individual well-being.
Central to my practice is fostering a safe, non-judgmental, compassionate, and confidential relationship where clients feel deeply understood, supported, and validated. I believe that therapy should be tailored to fit each person's specific needs rather than following a generic inflexible approach. By utilizing an integrative approach, I strive to create a collaborative and empathetic environment where you can explore, grow, and achieve sustainable outcomes.
When you start to walk on the way, the way appears- Rumi
