Counselling psychologist
As a Counselling Psychologist, I see my work not simply as a profession, but as a calling — a commitment to walk alongside those I work with in a way that honours both their struggles and their strengths. I believe in seeing the whole person, not just the challenges they face, and in offering support that empowers and uplifts.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Johannesburg. My clinical training took place at Helen Joseph Hospital and Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, where I had the privilege of working with individuals across a broad range of ages and cultural backgrounds. These experiences have equipped me to offer flexible, evidence-based interventions that are responsive to each client’s unique context.
My approach is integrative and grounded in a deep respect for the therapeutic process. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy. I begin by carefully understanding the client’s story and collaboratively formulating the presenting difficulties — this allows us to select the most appropriate and effective therapeutic path forward.
Above all, I strive to create a space that is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental — a space where clients can feel safe, heard, and supported as they explore their inner world and work toward meaningful change.
