About the Event
Awake into Movement is a somatic practice designed to offer both the theory and the ‘how to’ of incorporating nervous system regulation into your personal and professional life.
Highlighting the importance of the mind-body connection, it aims to deepen embodied awareness for the purpose of attaining a more integrative state of mental health and wellbeing.
This 1-hour experiential workshop will focus on:
- Understanding the nervous system as our primary information receiver.
- Exploring what it feels like to approach our experiences from a bottom-up perspective (body first, mind second).
The workshop aims to offer:
- An opportunity to reconnect to the mind-body relationship through noticing- and naming physical sensation first, rather than thought or emotion.
- Simple and accessible somatic exercises that can be used to support healthy nervous system regulation for you and your clients.
