Counselling Psychologist

I am a Counselling Psychologist with a focus on assisting clients in optimizing their wellbeing in all areas of their lives, by creating a warm and inclusive space for individuals to explore how they have attached meaning to their experiences.

Throughout my own therapeutic journey, I’ve come to understand the feelings of anxiety that arise when we share parts of ourselves that we may not yet be comfortable with. However, I’ve also come to appreciate that we heal when we are seen, heard and understood. I approach each session in a non-judgmental and compassionate way, assisting clients in gaining a holistic understanding themselves and emphasizing meeting themselves with curiosity, compassion and courage. In doing so, I aim to provide a safe holding space where clients may sit with their discomfort and appreciate their own resilience.

I believe that a multitude of factors affect the way we perceive and react to the world. This can be traced back to childhood and reinforced through our experiences. In turn, I tend to work from a cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT), integrating the client’s lived experience, interpersonal systems and sociocultural context. However, given that each client and their experiences are unique, I may incorporate other approaches as needed.

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate" - Carl Jung
